Rafting on the Tara River

 

     Along a scenic road we head to the north-western part of Montenegro, Podgorica passing, Niksic, we come to the canyon river Piva.  On the river, built the tallest dam in Europe - "Mratín" (220m).

   After breakfast at the restaurant in a lovely place called Scepan field, which offers an unforgettable view of the confluence of the Tara and Piva in the Drina River, receiving equipment, all toursits are transported to the jeeps and go up on  Tara river (20 km) to the place of rafting.

Then all tourists sit on the inflatable boat by 7-10 people and raft about 3 hours with an instructor.

  There are stops to explore the waterfall and swimming in the river. Nature on the banks of the river Tara and the river itself ("Tear of Europe") will not leave anyone indifferent. The tour ends with lunch in a traditional style.
