Budva Riviera is a place for a classic beach holiday. There are mainly large sand or pebble beaches. Cities can be divided into the following categories:
Budva is the most popular resort - tourist mecca Montenegro - characterized by a large number of places for young people - bars, diskobars, casinos that are open until morning. If you want a quiet family holiday in Budva it is better to choose the apartments not close to the beach area. Sveti Stefan - the view of Sveti Stefan is the hallmark of Montenegro. Bar Riviera is undeservedly least popular among tourists of the coast. It has large area with wide pebble beaches and developed tourist infrastruсture.
The largest city in Barska Riviera is Bar. This is the port city, but it has also very wide beach and the port itself is not much visited by vessels. The main ferry goes here in Bari (Italy), and there are berths for yachts. In the summer, on the waterfront of Bar the amusement park for children operates . In the city there are plenty of supermarkets and a good market with home made food and fresh fish.
The nearest beaches to Bar is Sutomore, Dobra Voda are the purely tourist town that operate mainly in the season and attractive many tourists for its wide beaches. Sutomore has sandy beach, and Dobra Voda has pebble beach.
There are also historical sites - the old town of Bar - open-air museum, which is a very picturesque ruins overlooking the mountains and the city.
Ulcinj is known for its gorgeous sandy beach, which stretches for 13 km till Albania . Sand on these beaches has dark color with a high content of iodine, which is very useful in diseases of the joints (heating in the sand). The sea in this part is very shallow, so this place is ideal for swimming with small children.
Also the old town of Ulcinj is very interesting, which was a pirate town years ago. It offers stunning views to the city and the sea.
